High on everyone’s agenda is the constant change in the automotive industry: the car's relationship with the environment is near the top of the list. JATO Consult understands these demands and has recently launched the first of a number of automotive-white papers, the JATO CO2 Report. Focusing on pan-European new car trends since 2003, the report provides essential insight into how markets, manufacturers and consumers are embracing new legislation and ecological responsibility - can you afford not to know?
This report studies the new car market in Europe, with particular emphasis on the official CO2 emissions of the cars sold and registered. The report covers 21 countries, of which 19 are EU member states. It includes trends in volume-weighted average CO2 emissions by country, segment and brand and investigates the effects that CO2-based taxation has had on the markets in recent years and highlights where it has affected particular vehicle models.
