BMW 1-Series: a new rival to the A-Class
The runaway dominance of the Mercedes A-Class is set to be over. This compact car, which can attribute part of its success to its lack of competitive rivals, will face the arrival of the all-new BMW 1-Series. This car was already presented on the new BMW Group #NEXTGen presentation platform at BMW Welt in Munich. The show premiere will be the IAA event in Frankfurt, and the worldwide launch will begin on 28 September 2019.
BMW has sold more than 2 million units of the 1-Series in Europe and Turkey since its introduction in 2004. This included 84,000 units and 70,000 units of the convertible and coupe versions (which are now called 2-Series), respectively. It’s therefore a key model for the brand in Europe.
