NEW JATO.COM LAUNCHED!
We are very excited to announce that we have launched a new JATO.com which is now available for all customers looking to access the international English version of our website. The all-new website provides a refreshed, modern and contemporary look and feel that really drives us into the 21st Century in terms of our global online presence. We hope our new digital face will publicly demonstrate our move towards a consultative and trusted business partner approach, as part of our vision to be the world’s most exciting leader in automotive business intelligence solutions.

CAFE QUENCHING US OIL THIRST
A subject that gets a lot of attention at JATO is the CO2 emission standards set out by the European Union and how OEMs are looking to hit the targets. Getting less attention is what some might consider the US version of this regulation, Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards. So, in the last five years has CAFE resulted in any visible trends in the US automotive market?

MARKET FOCUS: SOUTH AFRICA
The South African automotive industry is the largest on the African continent, and plays a vital role in the country’s economy – accounting for about 10% of South Africa’s manufacturing exports. On the back of recently re-launching our JATO Source Volumes product for the market (now with more detailed information), we make South Africa the subject of our next “Market Focus”.

EU CO2 EMISSIONS FINISH LINE IN SIGHT
2013 turned out to be a landmark year for car manufacturers and the European Union as the average CO2 emissions level of new cars dropped below the 2015 target of 130g/km for the first time. We pull out the highlights from our yearly “JATO Consult CO2 Report” to give you an understanding of the key drivers for change, which markets and manufacturers are leading the way, and who needs to improve make sure they hit the 2015 target.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A TRAINER
After the success of our last article, we again focus on the ‘day in the life’ of a JATO employee, giving you an insight into the people behind the data at JATO. This issue we speak to Training Specialist for Central Europe, Michael Dücker.
