The Cayenne is a key model for Porsche’s global expansion and profitability. With its first two generations, the German brand has sold more than 450,000 units giving the Porsche brand access to the world’s fastest growing segment: SUVs. The all-new generation Cayenne follows the usual pattern seen in other VW Group products: minimal exterior design changes and more technology features.


Another key difference to the next generation Cayenne is the engines that will power it. After the problems with diesel that the brand has been facing over the last 2 years, we expect to see a Cayenne hybrid or Cayenne electric as the protagonist of this new generation. And as it doesn’t have many direct competitors, the all-new Cayenne is likely to be another successful launch for the Bavarian brand.
