Our Executive Team
Chief Data & Digital Officer
Ian joined JATO in October 2016 to lead the international digital and data transformation, in the newly created executive board role of ‘Chief Data and Digital Officer’.
He holds responsibility for three core functions, technology, research and product development, with the objective of transforming JATO’s approach to data, innovation and delivery, reflecting the needs of JATO’s growing global client base in the digital economy.
Immediately prior to joining JATO, Ian held the position of Chief Technology Officer at Experian with international responsibility for digital product development, engineering and technology operations.
Ian began his management career as IT Director at The AA, responsible for the processes, software and infrastructure supporting the business positioning as the ‘4th emergency service’. From there he moved to Aon as Chief Technology Officer, with responsibility for a large team within their managed solutions business.
Following a management buyout of Aon’s UK property business, Ian became shareholder and Chief Information Officer for National Property Solutions Limited, which was streamlined, diversified and subsequently successfully sold to Homeserve less than 2 years later.
He then held the positions of Chief Information Officer at The Matrix 247 Group and Chief Technology Officer at Jackson Lloyd Limited, the latter culminating in a strategic review of entire technology portfolio and the resultant re-modelling of the IT service provided.
More recently Ian was Chief Information Officer and led the technology organisation globally for webuyanycar.com, with responsibility for defining strategy as well as optimising service delivery.
