Facelifted Brezza compact SUV sees boosted engine options, fresh styling tweaks and improved safety equipment fitted as standard

Maruti Suzuki has launched a facelifted Brezza, updating one of India's best-selling compact SUVs with a new turbo-petrol engine option, six airbags as standard, and an expanded connected-car feature set. Prices start at ₹7.39 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and rise to ₹13.54 lakh for the top variant.

What's new on the outside

The facelift brings a new front end built around a smoke-chrome grille, redesigned skid plates and bull-bar-style detailing, along with new alloy wheel designs and dual-tone paint options. As a facelift, these changes are evolutionary rather than a full redesign, aimed at giving the Brezza a more premium look without moving away from the design cues that have made it a familiar sight on Indian roads.

 

Three new engine choices 

The bigger news sits under the bonnet, as buyers can now choose from three powertrain options:

  • 1.0L Turbo Boosterjet, new for this update, with ISG mild-hybrid assistance
  • 1.5L K15C S-CNG, with ISS (Idle Start-Stop)
  • 1.5L K15C petrol, with ISG (Idle Start-Stop Generator) mild-hybrid assistance

The 1.0L turbo engine is the standout addition, producing 110 PS and 170 Nm of torque. In the Brezza, it is paired exclusively with a 6-speed manual gearbox and incorporates Maruti Suzuki's Progressive Smart Hybrid system. It's positioned for buyers who want stronger low-end response and a more engaging drive than the naturally aspirated petrol offers.

The S-CNG variant also gets a practical update with a redesigned underbody tank layout intended to free up more usable boot space, a common complaint with CNG-powered SUVs.

 

Safety: six airbags now standard across the range

Maruti Suzuki has made six airbags standard on every Brezza variant, alongside:

  • Front and rear parking sensors
  • 360-degree HD camera
  • Tyre Pressure Monitoring System
  • Blind Spot Warning
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert

Expanded connected features

The 2026 Brezza now runs the latest generation of Suzuki Connect, adding features such as geo-fencing, valet alerts, vehicle health monitoring, remote AC operation, smartwatch connectivity, Alexa skill integration and driving behaviour analytics - on top of existing functions like vehicle tracking, emergency alerts and breakdown notification.

Features vary across trim levels, with the 2026 Maruti Suzuki Brezza offering customers four options – LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+.
