Automotive customers can now compare vehicle versions with the launch of Similar Vehicles, a new capability that automatically identifies and displays comparable vehicles for analysis.
Similar Vehicles mirrors the existing basket compare functionality. After selecting a vehicle version, navigate to the Specifications tab and click "Compare similar vehicles" from the menu on the left to instantly generate a comparison. The original selection becomes the benchmark, and Similar Vehicles identifies comparable versions based on pre-defined criteria.
The comparison view displays vehicles side-by-side with specifications researched by JATO, using the same interface as basket compare. Users can apply the "Show differences" view to quickly identify how each similar vehicle differs from the benchmark.
An algorithm determines which vehicles to compare, with criteria tailored for automotive applications. The feature operates at a version level, selecting vehicles within the same market and vehicle type.
Additional enhancements are planned for future releases, including the ability to view matching criteria and save vehicle comparisons as baskets for later use.
